Reassurance At The Touch Of A Button

Continuing to live in your own home as you get older is vitally important to many people but it can be an anxious time, if you’re worried about the wellbeing of elderly parents or relatives. That’s why Yale has launched the affordable new Distress Alert System, providing emergency help at the touch of a button, without the monthly management fees usually associated with such support.

Simple to operate and easy to set up, the personal alarm unit can be programmed with three emergency numbers of the user’s choice, whether its family, friends or neighbours, as well as an individual distress message.

A discretely styled remote fob can then be carried or worn as a pendant anywhere in the home or garden. Should an accident happen, the fob can be used to trigger the unit, to make repeated attempts to connect to the emergency numbers. Once a connection is made, two-way hands-free communication is available via the unit’s in-built microphone and speaker.

The unit can be connected into an existing telephone socket, with battery back-up available in case of a power outage.

Complete independence while staying in touch can be surprisingly affordable, as the Yale Distress Alert System retails at just £49.99.

The Yale Distress Alert System is available from stockists nationwide, including B&Q.
